Conversely, we had a black lab for the first 15 years of my life. Best dog I have seen since. Hell, he put up with my brother and I trying to ride him like a horse, picking his nose, stepping on him, everything else little kids do, and *never* once did he snap, bite, snarl, or anything. Best goddamn dog I have ever seen. (Obviously, when I was about three or four and doing this, I didnt know any better--but now knowing what we did to him, Im surprised he never bit us).
To tell the truth though, I dont think the color of the coat matters at all.
But damn are labs some good dogs. As soon as Im in an apartment where I can have pets, Ill be buying another lab.
