i actually liked it.
yes the blackjack was a little iffy this time around, but overall the game's phsyics were great.
i would really like to see a game like this, but a little more open ended.
something almost like Thief meets GTA
you could become a master thief through a number of ways:
simply stealing alot. (the x% bugged me. how did he know how much loot was in the place?)
you should be able to go around/break into to different houses/mansions/castles/inns and steal things. security would of course increase after multiple visits. You would sell your items on the black market, but, unlike in the game you woulnd't know what is valuable (your skill would increase as you gain xp or something) and you could better appraise things. Making what stuff you carry very important.
You could do missions, steal certain items from the rich man's house and bring it to so and so. This way you could chose who to work for... should you work for the theive's guild? Or should you work for the nobility stealing things back from the thieves. Or, if you're good, should you work for both?
And of coure there would be the straight up story missions. But these should be more varied and less scripted, i.e. you might only know about the location of such and such a jewel if you pass by a conversation at a certain time.
