 Yeah, there's too much of it.  They are way bass heavy, and the highs aren't the greatest.  My roommate has a set of 457's he picked up from the Virgin MegaStore for $30.  I wouldn't go for the Zalman's.  Number wise, their frequency respsonse doesn't even go to 20 Hz.  Plus this is their first venture into audio.  Good for them, I'll take mine from a company that specializes in headphones.  Look into the Grado SR-60, we sell them in our store for $62.99, they are extremely well reviewed, sound great for the money (one of the employees swears by them), and have a full 20-20k frequency response.
