ok, as far as I know, there should be plenty of room and we don't need to notify anyone.. Bit I'll show up before our scheduled time and set up a some tables and a grill.
As we get closer, I'll go down and take some digital photos and post them in this thread. Combined with the map, people should have some very visual cues to follow to end up in the same place.
So I figure I'll take some shots of the actual meeting area, some from street level (so we know where to walk down), and some from around the general vicinity so people know where to look to park.
How many people does it look like are showing up?
What do we need? Food, beverages, charcoal, activities, etc? We'll probably need to figure that out when people start arriving. I might be able to snap some shots this weekend when my wife and I go down on our day sail, but no promises. Definately before the scheduled date, however. That map I provided gets you smack up to the park--so I just have to guide you from that endpoint to the actual benches we'll be at.
hmm, what am I forgetting? I don't know. Let me know what you think and need. It's a nice beach, with sizeable fire pits if people stay into the evening. Oh yeah, almost forgot. This is on the beach side of the Newport Harbor jetty. It should be impossible to miss. I have no problem going down in the morning and hanging out while people drift in.
