The thing you have to remember about the British is that they don't deal with successful people very well.
As Bono once said, "In America if you see a guy with a big house and nice car you want to be that guy; In Britain, if you see a guy with a big house and a nice car, you want to get that guy"
Also, in Britain, their definition of "working class" is our middle class.
