Oh the parents will be eternally grateful should you do this. #1 Finding a sitter can be hard sometimes. #2 Paying a sitter can be expensive.
I'm sure the parents will be happy to reciprocate when your time comes. Besides kids grow out of their clothes so fast you'll get all the hand-me-downs you'd need when the time comes.
Lots of benefits to doing this.

One Weekend in high school where I was babysitting for a potty trained 3 year old, and this poor kid had a horrible case of the flu or something (I got it the next day) this kid not only was tossing his cookies (all over his bed, the floor, the wall, then he had explosive diaherria, all over his jammies, his bed, the wall (kid was eating solid food) This was beyond disgusting.
and his parents weren't getting home til monday.
Somehow managed to clean up all that mess. CHanged his sheets and all that. Went back to bed myself. Woke up the next morning, sick as a dog, could keep nothing down, but the kid was still sick, and I still had to take care of him.
Kids are great when they are clean, happy, and returnable.

Wow you are tough. I've done that with my daughter. In fact hubby was also sick at the time. It's tough enough when it's your own kid let alone when it's someone elses. You have passed the toughest test of being a parent I think. You'll have no problem when it's your own.
