same reason here. I like Star Wars , but am not a huge fan overall. My intense dislike for Forrest Gump leaves me no choice but one here. (much like the Bush/Kerry thing after reading about Kerry's views on abortion and gun control)
however Star Trek II/III/IV/VI would get my vote everytime over any Star Wars film.

Star Wars is a classic, and should be required viewing for everyone. That being said, it was a terrible movie. The acting, blows donkeys. The dialouge... horrible.

it has every element of the saturday morning serials, and that is what makes it so good; the absence of those things are a just a small part of the reasons that the prequels are some of the worst films to disgrace the screen since Titanic.
