Stuff in outlet stores are not necessarily any cheaper than stuff in malls. I've compared prices, and some stuff (mostly shirts I think) can be $20+ more expensive at outlets. Just do your homework, and watch for coupons or whatever for the department stores at the malls.
Also, I don't think there are any outlet stores in Georgetown, but everything in Georgetown (especially the school) is super expensive.
