Tough one... it all depends on what "everything you own" means... if it is a one room apartment and a can of beans for dinner... the fruits of my labour are paltry...
I would still choose work hard though... I know from experience the pleasure of satisfaction.
would you rather....
eat beans as your only form of sustenance for the rest of your life
or
give up sex for the rest of your life
