how much for clothes?
i was with my sister yesterday when we see a girl walking towards us. my sis notices the girl's jeans and stops her to comment on how cute they were, and also to ask where she got them from and for how much. the girl says she bought them from an outlet in Georgetown and that they cost her around $450.
so i asked if the pants had gold or some other precious thing weaved into the stitchings. she responds with half a giggle and says "well some of us can afford it." my response to that was a raised eyebrow, and "it's not that i can't affort it...i just don't want to."
now i couldn't care less what that girl does with her own cash, as it's no business of mine, but as for me, i don't think i would ever find myself spending that much on one pair of jeans. for $450 i can get more than one pair or jeans or something. $450 is probably the amount i'd spend on 2-3 months worth of clothes. mabye 4-5 months, but for me that's stretching it .
