my dad didn't even unbuckle the gun from the holster in the truck anyway. he wasn't even close to using it. I'm just saying it was comforting in case this guy fucking stabbed me or something. or SHOT me. there is a difference between an educated gun user and a fucking redneck hick who loves to shoot when he can.

Yeah, big time. Neither one of us said we would shoot the damn guy. Yes, I would rely on a concealed firearm to get me out of trouble. If someone was shooting at you, and you had a concealed gun, would you not use it? We didn't know if that guy was gonna go apeshit and get a 12-gauge out of his truck or what.
You keep suggesting that we were gonna shoot the guy because we simply had a gun. No, we're saying it was good to know that my dad had a Glock in case the psycho guy had a gun. Guns should be used in self defense in a life or death situation, and nothing else. I'm not uneducated on gun safety or gun morals.
Chill-out? Jesus, did you not read the initial post? This guy was starting a fight with us. He was ready to simply fight there in the road. You can't tell a pissed off redneck to chill out. I apologized to him and he told me to fuck off.
I understand about guns...there's no need to keep saying that we don't understand how they shouldn't be used. I know that. We were simply saying that if that guy got a gun out, it's good to know that there was something to do about it in my dad's truck. Would you rather have the psycho guy shoot at us and we die, or him shoot at us and us be able to defend ourselves?
