Vinoh, happy to be moving, addresses Evenyth:
"My guild has had some experience with the Dark, especially with its more subtle members. Shocks troops could always be handled by knights, soldiers and even mercenaries, but sometimes the Dark clouded men's minds, bent their will and made them do its bidding. Sometimes it didn't respond to exorcism or symbols of light and that's where we came in. The ability to detect the taint of evil and subdue it by sheer force of will has been our greatest tool against the Dark. All our other abilities are just icing on the cake and show us that the mind truly has boundless potential.
This is why my guildmaster has sent me here. Since we're probably heading for the proverbial hornet's nest, we will need a broad range of powers. We are definitely covered as far as brawn and magic is concerned, but I wonder if my mental powers will be enough."
The mind mage then turns to Darghon and smiles.
*Telepathic message to Darghon*
"Well, at least I'm not the only one who can flex his mental muscles!"
Vinoh turns back to Evenyth.
"I've been meaning to ask... how and why did you turn from the Dark? Are your powers truly that great or is there a schism we don't know about but could exploit?"
Vinoh suddenly gets a mental flash of the villagers that were found brutally slain, their bodies gruesomely dismembered, their families weeping at their loss... The mind mage grimaces.
"I hope for our sake that our strength will be enough..."
