I have had a couple of girlfriends that turned out to want my man. But for the most part, I have had good luck with girls. I used to have more guy friends when I was single, but IMO once you get serious in a relationship those guy friends can cause trouble b/w you and your man. (Works the other way, too, when guys hang out with mostly girls.) So I gradually shifted away from guyfriends to girlfriends.
I've seen the whole guy/girl friendship rip a marriage apart. Just doesn't seem like a good plan. Shouldn't your SO be your true best friend anyway?
