apparently Shrek 2 is better or at least as good as the first. Rottentomatoes.com has the story

92% I believe. that's damn good (for RT). a couple of rehashed quotes from the critics:

"one of the best comedies ever made"
"better than the first"
"just as good as of sequel as Toy Story 2 was to Toy Story"
"has, at one part, the funniest sequence of film ever made in it"
"I hated the first, I hate the second"

I think it's gonna be good. really good. I liked the first one, but hated how it was hyped up (it wasn't THAT good guys). and how it was so overplayed everywhere. but I'll definitely go see this one.
