Fun thread.
My pick (of course) is the New England Patriots.
why? two words - Bill Belichick
ok, now a bunch more words.
I actually think they might not win. As in the 02-03 season everyone was gunning for them, and they didn't make the playoffs. It's really tough for a team to do it twice in a row, and I'm not sure if the Pats will have it in them. That said, I can't pick any other team ahead of them. With Tom Brady leading the O and newly acquired Corey Dillon at RB they should be pretty potent. That is if their offensive line holds up (Yes, mr Sapp, the one with Russ Hochstein, the same guy that helped the pats not allow a sack in the post season).
They drafted D heavy again I seem to recall which is something Belichick likes to do. It honestly doesn't matter to me if Ty Law is on the team or not. If he is he will play for his next contract after he is cut next offseason, and if isn't I trust Belichick to deal with it. Also Colvin should come back which is sort of like picking up another pro-bowl type player, even though he was technically on the team last year. I do hope his hip has recovered though.
anyway, it should be another interesting season for the pats.
