I once sold a set of alloy wheels privately, and had some sap ring up, miss several apppointments, and during each call keep on fishing for information about where my house was, what it looked like, etc.
So I led him on for ten minutes, making up all kinds of details about the house, the cars, the street, etc, and could hear mounting excitement in his voice. We arranged "Sometime Wednesday evening", and I finished the call with "Oh, though make sure to call me half an hour before you come, so I can go and collect the wheels from the lock up for you".
"Oh" <disappointed> "So... you don't keep the wheels at your house then?"
"No."
Never heard from him again
