That just seems wrong, and I am sure to get these government jobs, the applicant had to pee in a cup, it would take an HR department about 5 minutes to research the school and find out it it was accredited, it would take the school that same about of time to find out if the student was legit. They just have to do it.
My last job, HR checked my education, apparantly no other employer ever had because in the 15 years, at the time, that I had graduated from college, that part of my resume never changed, my date of college graduation was always wrong. One employer out of 5 caught it. (and it was only because they checked more closely because it was a position I was bonded for)
