I tend to use the toilet just out of habit. When I was a young boy I grew up a lot faster than the other kids & for several years I was actually too tall to use the "kid-sized" urinals at school.
That, and pulling myself through my fly is just uncomfortable. If I go in the stall I can drop trou just a bit so I don't have to untuck & tuck again.
Though I find I'll typically give a courtesy flush to mask the noise. Some people don't like hearing the sound of urinating in the toilet.
