Every computer that I own is up and running 24/7. I have a file/print server that is also an apache web server; this machine has been running, non-stop for 3 years. This same machine has a current uptime of over 6 months, meaning that I haven't need a single reboot in the last 6 months.
First things first, make sure that you have the latest firmware for all your hubs/switches/routers/NAS. Make sure that all of your settings are similar, ie, subnet masks, domain name, workgroup name.
Seriously though, don't worry about leaving a computer on, from my experince it has made equipment more reliable!
