Good old 80s- and some 90s rap is unique IMO. I can't say that all rap is shit. It just isn't for me. Besides, I have musical tastes that would make the average rap listener's hair fall out in protest. Like Skinny Puppy or some Pigface. Then there's my metal bands that pretty much don't have any musical talent. So, to each his own.

In the quote that you quoted me, I was actually referring to the ability to rap/rhyme. I'm not trying to argue that people should like rap, rather what I meant to point out that being able to rhyme/rap does take skill. I understand that people have different musical preferences, and accordingly not everyone is going to like the same thing.
