MGS2 was HORRIBLE in the use for that.
Like with Snake suddenly yelling "Semper Fi!!!" as if people wouldn't say "Hey.. only marines say that!" It was SO out of place..
He might as well have come out and said, "HEY GUYS, I'M SNAKE!"
