All Possibility, Made Of Custard
|
I know somebody who owned a mom-and-pop coffeehouse but shut it down. Here's what he had to say.
Quote:
We sold our coffeehouse last year. We got along okay while we had it, but in the end, we lost money (we're still paying off the note we took out to open). Are we glad we did it? Absolutely. It was a service to the community, for one, and I can now go sit in a coffeehouse and read a paper, for two. Do we miss it? Not much. The work was fun, sometimes, and we made a lot of friends, sure, but we also had our daily pain in the ass customer who could sap hours worth of energy by just being. It was a surprise to find out how relieved we were to not have to deal with that every day.
