Astoria, Illinois is dry---only alcohol served is at the VFW---so everyone in town belongs to the VFW. (and the mayor used to haul the booze in from Peoriia in his farm truck with a tarp over it.
No beer sold down here in Texas until noon---most of us can make it that long..
