Trenton, without traffic is just over an hour from Manhattan.
Parking in the city is a bitch, and expensive.
Your best bet, park at the Trenton train station, then take the train (either NJ Transit or Amtrak) into Penn Station (its about an hour)
Play inthe city and take the train back.
If you have never been to NYC - it's worth the trip.
Trenton to DC is about 3-4 hours .
