Even more importantly, In rugby your forwards (the guys who take the battering) typically play at least 65 minutes, with 3 of them normally playing the full 80 minute game. I also fail to see how football could have a higher hand-eye requirement than rugby (with the exeption of receivers an QB's), as in rugby your forwards also need good hand-eye coordination.
Also, in rugby you are allowed 5 subs, and once a sub is made, its normally permanent (depending on certain rules, i.e. blood-binm etc). Combined with the constant pace of play, this makes it unfathomable to me why football is ranked so much higher than rugby.
