Quitting smoking can make a big difference on your mood. I hope you can hang in there and that things will get better because of it eventually.
Also have you had your iron checked? Anemia was what made my depression worse. That and malnutrition.
Have you tried taking any vitamin suppliments or multivitamins. Lack of certain B-vitamins tends to make me feel down and tired. Not necessarily depressed but that with other things could just make things worse if you are deficient in a few things.
