Good for you. I seem to remember that you were concerned with your physical condition because you were drinking fairly heavily several nights a week. So what you're doing now should help immeasureably.
I probably go as along as a year without a drink sometimes, because a) I don't go out much, b) the wife doesn't drink so the social aspect isn't there, and c) without the social aspect there's no reason. Maybe once in a while when I'm really stressed I'll have a beer or a glass of wine; and I drink so seldom that even that small amount of alcohol affects me substantially.
