I lie when I need to. When I don't, it's just too much work to make it work. All in all, I would say that I am more honest than the average, because "need to" doesn't cover most white lies, and I am generally clever enough to tell the truth in such a way as to leave it open to the interpretation that the listener expects, regardless. (I think there would be a place for me in the Bush administration if it weren't evil.
