The thing to remember about autoerotic asphyxiation is that it tends to escalate to a danger level. For a long time, they thought people were just committing suicide in a strange way, but after some research they found that it was people whose autoerotic asphyxiation tendencies got out of control and they'd get to the point where they would hang themselves to get off, but then they'd slip and hang to death.
But yeah, I'm drunk so ignore the run-ons!
