I feel any time that a woman has problems in the vaginal area she should see her doctor. As uncomfortable as it may be, it is important to know exactly what is causing the problem and if it is something that needs medical treatment.
IF there is no medical ailment, I recommend a lubricant called WET. It does not get sticky and it works like your natural production of fluids. Also, as fallenangel said, many medications can induce vaginal dryness. Consider this and do your research if you are on any meds.
Many post menopausal women experience vaginal dryness due to the drop of estrogen levels in their system. This can be treated with a vaginal cream that increases the production of vaginal secretions.
Again, first and foremost, go see your doctor.
