Sadly, I can admit to being stupid and going cow-tipping.
I grew up in Az, but spent all of my vacations in california on a ranch, which I loved and still love very much. I raised a lot of animals up there... *sniff*
But anyway... after herding cattle from the top of the hill/mtn that they feed on for 3 months everyone else rode back to the ranch except me, Jodie, Jodie's brother, Deborah, and Brian.. (cen't remember his name for the life of me). Give or take that I was 13 or 14 at the time and all of ranged between 8-17.... was good times. ANYWAY, we decided it would be fun to continue riding around until dusk when we knew everyone would be inside and we didn't need to be back at the ranch quite yet. I feel quite guilty about having anything to do with this.. but I did, because it's kinda cruel.. yet funny all at the same time.
So anyway... Deb, Brian, Jodie's Bro, and myself hurled a sleeping cow on to it's side. Was a bit of an effort because the cow probably weighed 500 lbs or so, if not more. The cow in question just sort of freaked and wobbled around a lot, it couldn't get up at all. So after what seemed like forever, the cow finally calmed down and Brian was the only one willing to help it back up. I can't say it was completely interesting, because it wasn't.... I think in a lot of ways it's like waking someone up while they're sleeping... it can cause irrepairable damage or death. Luckily the cow didn't die, but I've known instances where people have done it and the cows have died. I've just come to the conclusion that it's a silly thing to do... but I think it will continue to be done because people like to do silly things
