value shit sux... but of course it does. I've got it running right here, been doing that for the past 6 months, along with pretty much everyone we (as a series of computer shops) sell computers to. If there's one that that's reliable, it's corsair value "shit" memory. The regular would be XMS memory, which is indeed faster (due to better CAS latency), but also more expensive.
Sure it's "only" CAS 2.5, but it's reliable and handles overclocking well.
And Lasereth is probably more right than he knows... If you stick one gigs of memory in an olde Athlon 1 Ghz, and add a 9800 pro, you'll be playing Farcry at pretty decent framerates. The CPU is hardly a bottleneck anymore.
