For me personally there's no contest, Islands of Adventure is far better. But I'm a rollercoaster freak and as you said that's not an issue, so with kids it's a lot closer. The rides at Universal Orlando are similar to the ones at Universal Hollywood, and I think Islands of Adventure is overall more interesting than Universal, as it has a lot more "character" you could say. However Islands of Adventure wasn't built in my younger years so from a kid's perspective, I don't really have any idea which one would be better. Sorry, I guess I'm not much help. Flip a coin? =P
