Cuba Libre: 3 oz Rum, Ice, Fill with Cola, Squeeze of Lime

Perfect Manhatten:

6 parts Whiskey or Bourbon (I like Markers Mark for this)
1 part sweet vermouth
1 part oz dry vermouth
Shake with ice and pour into (a) martini glass(es)
twist a strip of lemon or orange (or both) peel over the (each) glass unitl a drop of citrus oil falls in, then toss in the twists and a marschino cherry.

My wife used to really like Spiced Rum and Cream soda until she painted a church's shrubbery with it.
