It was actually called a Screaming Purple Jesus when used with 198 proof.
I suggest you decide if you want to drink to get drunk, or drink to enjoy the taste of alcohol. I prefer a good vodka and tonic, and for me Absolut works very well. I personally think Smirnoff tastes like distilled ass, but everybody is different.
I suggest getting sampler bottles and deciding what you'd like. Talk with the liquor dealer as well; they can give you a hand in figuring out what's good for what price. Stoly (Stolychnaya) is also good, and is $20 a handle I believe.
