Most new distributions should install with very little pain. Like someone recommended before, Mandrake and Fedora are the most user friendly you'll find. You can check out other distributions (and download them) at
http://www.linuxiso.org/ -- Just don't go with something like debian or you'll end up poking your eyes out.
