I had that very same thing happen to me on several occasions now, especially with BF: Vietnam. Its a documented fact that many players are having some issues with this game, and that a patch will probably be along soon to clear it up, just like in BF:1942. So a few times, after being frustrated by major lag issues and clipping, I have mentioned that I can't wait for them to release the patch. And in every case, immediately after my statement, someone verbally attacks me, like I just called there mom something unspeakable. Do some gamers get that attached to a game, or are they just jackasses in general, and this is the venue they have chosen to express their jackassedness?

Welcome to why I won't play online anymore. I completely refuse to. Once upon a time, online play was fun and challenging, and most of the participants were good sports about everything.
Then came Counter-Strike. I completely blame it for the destruction of online play. The idiots got ahold of it, and they were bad enough, but then everyone else picked up the game and with it, the idiots fucktardery.
Now you have cheaters, racists, homophobes, and generally poor sports everywhere. This is why I do LAN parties. Much easier to prevent stuff like that.
