Conservative dunking is the highest percentage shot in the game. If you can get to the hoop, and you can jump high enough, why try to lay it in when you make a strong two-handed dunk?
Sixate, I couldn't agree with you more that dunking from the free-throw line has no place in practical basketball games, it just doesn't happen. The same applies for dunking over three guys hunched over. However, conservative dunking plays a very important role in play down by the bottom of the key.
It's like comparing a billiards player to someone who just does trick-shots. They are derived from the same activity (I refuse to call it a sport :P), but one is purely for entertainment.
