When I first saw this, I wasn't sure what it was that made it so interesting...but after thinking about it for a minute, I think it's the fact that the objects almost seem to be the "negative" since they're a flat color, while the background has texture and variance. If that makes any sense (I'm tired, and not really sure what I'm typing)...
