Usually normal, unless there's a reason to play it in hard mode.
Sometimes games will give you different endings or secret options based on what difficulty level you complete it on.. usually I'll go through those again on hard mode.
Other than that, unless I'm completely addicted to the game to the point where I WANT to lose or want loads more challenges, I stick with normal.
