That's really fucked up... I'm glad I wasn't planning on going to sleep any time soon. I just hope nobody said anything to the kid that suggested that it was his "dead twin brother". If they said it was a tumor, then I suspect he's fine. But if they said anything about it being a twin, then at that age I bet it would really mess with his head. Ugh... bad mental images... get out of my head! Out, I say, out!
