Have you ever thought of how much punishment your penis takes day to day? Its rubbing clothes, it gets basically pummeled when you have sex or masterbate. It can handle a huge amount of stress.
When I got my penis pierced, I merely looked at it as another body part. It takes pain just like the rest of me does. In fact, my prince albert hurt less than my nipples did when I got them pierced.
I did not pierce for the sake of pain or self punishment. I think of it as personal evolution, and being above the contraints of fear over my body's limitations.
