A friend of mine has a VW GTI. In Europe it has a rear fog light (just makes the left taillight extra bright). It's not an option in the USA, but his was prewired for it. He just plugged in the factory switch and it worked right away.

rear fog lights are not standard installed on USA cars ? here in europe it's required if i'm not mistaken... most cars nowdays even have front fog lights...
