I agree with your point regarding off-roading "Fenton". My reasoning behind the SUV, having 2 children, is for Safety, space and bad weather conditions. After driving many of the American Models, the ride just dosent compare. The American models all drive like trucks, handle poorly, have high wind noise, and come with that cheezy plastic interior!! I find that the foreign luxury models handle more like cars and inside are much prettier to look at. As far as safety goes the ML's come with 10 airbags.
