I agree with Nancy - unless you want to risk becoming a parent nine months from now, buy birth control. Even just condoms is a good start - you don't ever want to have unprotected sex unless you're looking to knock her up.
But sure, if you don't want to get her pregnant, have sex while she's on her period.
