My sentiments, exactly.

When I lived in Arizona, it was incredible to watch the monsoon thunderstorms roll in across the valley - great light show during the rare nighttime T-storms. It would usually rain for an hour or so, then clear up for another spectacular sunset. It always lowered the temperature by about 25 degrees, too - which was nice.

Now that I'm in Houston, the novelty has definitely worn off. Now, thunderstorms mean the probability of tornadoes, floods, and, although unimagineable - just as hot - and even worse humidity than before. Oh - and then comes hurricane season.
