Treadmills
Well my 10 year old Proform Treadmill finally bit the dust. The belt came apart, and the replacement belts they have sent do not fit (slightly too long). That was the only thing that ever went wrong with it. I'm looking to replace it with something that will last but isn't too hard on the pocketbook (i.e $1,000 or under).
The big difference is that now we have a gym membership and do our cardio there 3-4 days a week, so our home treadmill is only used 7-8 times a week for an hour at a time by either me or my wife. Of course the local fitness guy is recommending a low-end Lifefitness machine, but I'm not sure that we really need that.
The Lifefitness won't fold up, and we like to get our treadmill out of the way between workouts. We aren't into all the bells and whistles although a pulse counter would be nice. Are there are any mid-range brands (besides Proform since we know about them already) that people could recommend?
