I agree with the consensus here, to an extent. It does get a little boring when people start talking about reponsibilities as an owner, however.
I frequent a well-known classic car site from time to time. It's a reasonable site, but there are always people gagging to lecture you on how a rare and valuable car should or should not be kept. You know, start it every weekend over winter, let it warm up properly, don't drive it in the wet...My arse, frankly. It's one thing being a protector of a part of humanity's heritage; it's another thing entirely when people tell you how your property should be treated. I don't own the car, I'm just looking after it for future generations, as the rather tiresome saying goes...
