I'm going to disagree here. The kid is too young to really understand the whole thing and if explained properly, it can just be "really sick" until he's old enough to comprehend it properly.
Chances are the kid doesn't even know. Just because they released the general story to the press doesn't mean they tried explaining this to the kid. You think he reads the newspaper at his age?
