Well, in both cases I think they offered a stereo track or DD 5. 1 that is playable on most dvd players. Me personally, I can't really decide which I like better. Right now, the selection is better on DVD-A, where I feel that the quaility goes to SACD.
Yes, that is correct. The player will decode the signal then send this to the reciever via the analog connections. Sorry if I was vauge on that.....Some newer setups offer a connection using firewire/iLink which will allow you to do away with all those cables.
